Food in the Afternoon

Every Wednesday a lunch is prepared for needy persons and served in the parish hall. This is done in conjunction with other local churches. This has been going on for several years here at St. Anselm's, and it stems from our calling to love our neighbor. It is Christ himself whom we serve every Wednesday afternoon.

The Binky Brigade

The Binky Brigade is a sewing guild that meets every other Tuesday to sew quilts that will go to foster children, abused children, or the children of abused women. The beautiful quilts are each a work of love, and each one is unique. At times these quilts have also gone to the elderly shut-in. These blankets are given as gifts regardless of religious affiliation, no strings attached.

Adult Christian Education and Forums

Anglicanism promotes the use of critical thinking and this is applied here at St. Anselm's to our way of doing Bible Study, and Christian Education. These are open to all persons seeking a deeper understanding of the biblical texts, and their personal faith. It is especially for people who do not want to sacrifice their integrity, intelligence, or sense of critical thinking, but still want to grow in faith. Often we find we have more questions than answers, but through the paradox of these questions, we draw closer to God, and grace is experienced.

Bible study here at St. Anselm's is not for the faint of heart; we tackle hard questions and we're not satisfied with easy answers. For a schedule of meeting times, please see the parish Sunday Bulletin, or call the parish office.
